Hi Dr. Moir, Thank you for sharing this important information. I appreciate the details and science you cover in your post. Writing about the advantages of not using lawn fertilizers and herbicides is a good strategy for bringing more people to this way of doing things in their own home. At our house, I like to call my lawn an intentional polyculture. The “fancy” word usually stops the conversation about pretty turf right in its tracks! Isn’t the biodiversity above and below our land surface a wonder to behold?!
