Hi Jess, Fascinating and fun read. I used to be "recognized" constantly, back in the late 90s and early 2000s in my hometown. I learned the word doppelganger and tossed it around with abandon to explain to the confused people, "Yeah, I seem to have a lot of doppelgangers around here" which often added to their confusion.
Once, I was driving, and the driver of another car waved me to pull over with such urgency that I obeyed. They then scrunched up their face, looked at me, and said, "Oh, you're not Angela" after having screamed that name at me repeatedly, wondering why I wasn't waving back.
Maybe I only sent my clones back to this time period because I haven't seen any lately.
This is the first I've learned of bilocation. Thanks for teaching me something new.
By the way, were in Florence last week? ;)
