I like the "This Happened to Me" Tag. I think you can earn top writer using it, but it's not used on the topic pages, so that's something to consider. I like using the Memoir tag to indicate personal essays but don't always use it. For poetry, I try to use pertinent tags that have to do with the poem. "Outdoors" for Nature, "Photography" for photos you incorporate, "Family" or "Relationships" if those are themes, etc. Hope this helps.
