I think you're absolutely right and this is a necessary point to make. As someone who hasn't survived abuse I don't have the insight of others who have. It seems I've missed part of the point here.

Still, I hope this "the truth" leads into a story of "her truth," because I'd love to read it. She's an excellent storyteller with much wisdom and insight.
