Kenma, Thank you for sharing your wise words with Age of Empathy! Periods have such a profound impact on our lives as women and on our the different shifts in our lives as women. This reminded me of an article I wrote about peri-menopause and how doctors don't believe me when I say I think I've been in the in-between for several years now! I'm trying hard to be more open and positive with my daughter about periods and glad to see they're more commonly discussed, even in commercials and tv shows now.
