Sorry for my late response. I'm listening to a biography of O'Keeffe currently (almost finished). I think you're right. She didn't seem much to care for women in general. If she did have any love affairs with women, I think she might have been embarrassed (?) and that her family would've tried to keep that a secret. But, yes, there would have to be more evidence for me to be convinced at this point.

Oh, interesting on Easy Rider! Also, O'Keeffe was appalled apparently when she met the now-deceased D.H. Lawrence's widow. She thought his widow quite frumpy. Strong opinions, huh?!
Thank you for the Ghost Ranch correction! I hope to go there someday! We were scheduled to go to the O'Keeffe museum in Santa Fe in March but that fell through. I wasn't too into downtown Santa Fe. Crowded and ritzy for my taste. I'd much rather visit Ghost Ranch. Now I know. :D
