Thank you for this interesting article. I am a white woman gardener and have noticed few Black gardeners on my IG feed. I began proactively seeking a more diverse feed a few weeks ago. Oddly, I did already have IG gardener friends in Mexico, India, Ireland, Portugal, and other countries. It has been cool finding Black folx to follow in addition to the main two accounts I was following — Ron Finley and The Good Man’s Farm. I also find gardening a way to deepen my soul connection with earth. It is essential for my healing and being better able to connect with others. Food access is a huge issue in my locale- Tulsa, Oklahoma… You’ve given me a lot to think about!
