Thank you for writing this up, Sam! I remember seeing it at a friend's house for the first time in the 1980s. I was probably preschool aged. I was captivated by who would win and by the time Gene Wilder did the flip, I was all in. Whimsical is a great way to describe the movie.

I also enjoyed reading the book when I was older.

Time to revisit this classic!
