The Crown didn't really resonate with me either--maybe it's more of an issue of class than race for me. I know you aren't watching Bridgerton, Shanna, and I understand why... I started watching it before I read this article. I'm hooked. It's campy and fun. However, I see your point/s. I hope more period pieces are developed that are shown from the point of view of BIPOC as the main characters. I'm one of the few people who hasn't seen Hamilton and thought your take on that was fascinating, too. In some ways, it feels like these are baby steps to bigger progress. I think you're opening up an important conversation.
