This is such a striking way to describe the feeling of depression. I very much relate.

And in response, a million boulders each the weight of a dying star — black holes, the heaviest objects in the universe — materialized in every cell in my body. I felt myself collapse back into bed. I watched helplessly as I disappeared behind my thoughts. I watched as I resisted my very existence.
