This needs to be said. Thank you for saying it, Genius. I watched a Netflix Christmas movie with my 10 year old white daughter a few days ago. It featured a Black family and Black Santa Claus. She looked at me and said, "But isn't Santa white?" I said, "Who knows?" Probably not. "Jesus probably wasn't white either." She nodded and we kept watching. It hit me that Christmas movies are so damn white--or, maybe I'm missing the other ones? It was Nia Simone McLeod who wrote about the one we watched, -The App That Stole Christmas.-

Your points are all well-taken. My parents always cautioned me that "winners" write history. As factual as history is supposed to be, is it possible to tell history as fact when human opinion infiltrates our existence?

Okay, off to listen to the song. :D

And, Happy Holidays, Genius!
