Wonderful poem, Kasun! I think writing is all of those things. When I feel most authentic in my writing, it connects with an audience, teaching them something (could be emotional) or making them feel something and also doing the same for me.

Journal writing can be cathartic and just for me or the seed for an audience writing later.

I can also write the kind of stuff to sell for work, like copy for example.
