We did the same thing to our son! I feel kinda bad, but not too bad about that. My husband's dad passed away the year before we met and it was a given our firstborn son would have the honor of that name. But my husband also has the same first name and didn't enjoy the "Little" being put in front of it, so yeah, our kid goes by his middle name.

Ha! I truly felt so grumpy about Amy being plain and paired with Brown, so plain, but the spelling rescues it, and by high school I embraced it and enjoyed getting teased with the MTV reference, "Here now, Downtown with Aimee Brown!" ;P
