Yes! It's so true. I still wait months for decisions on creative work I submit online to literary magazines and book publishers. That's still quite common.

You are a badass! I did a couple of SEO one-off projects to see if they were a good fit for me for freelancing and I found them dreadfully boring. It was almost like the mathefication of writing. I couldn't grasp how to be creative within the requirements.

That last part is great advice for Medium!

It took me over a year to truly understand and believe I don't need to publish something every day. That's good advice, too.
