Zulie! I’m so glad you’re writing about this. It’s super effed up. I have a history of disordered eating also. I checked out Noom and put in my info. It wanted me to lose weight. I didn’t want to lose weight. I wanted to maintain my weight and receive psychological support on eating healthier - ie choose whole foods instead of processed ones and sugary treats etc. Noom is definitely not that. But by seeing what it isn’t I realized what I (and I bet others) would benefit from. Maybe some ethical company will do an app for “people like us”.
